Obituary for Jessie Mae Foster

Ms. Jessie Foster was born May 16th, 1939 to the late Beulah Mae Daughty, who preceded her in death on December 15th, 1983 and Tom Mims, who also preceded her in death on August 11th, 1989. She was born in Texas and later raised in Arizona by aunt Haddy. After High School Ms. Foster moved to California where she married and became one with her husband Henry Foster. She then conceived her son, Marcus Ranson, who preceded her in death in 2009 in Las Vegas. Ms. Jessie raised her special niece Nicole Hayes of California. She and Thomas Mims later relocated to Las Vegas in the early 90’s. Ms. Jessie loved all her children, there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them.

Ms. Jessie furthered her career in the nursing field at Sandy Robinson and Housekeeping at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino, where she enjoyed working and loved her co-workers. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, listening to music like Luther Vandross, whom was known to be one of her favorite artists. She enjoyed watching movies with her special friend David McDuffie. She also enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her grandchildren and her puppy, Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memories 1 sister: Dorothy Mims (Kent Hayes) of California; 2 brothers: Marc Anthony of California and JC. of Arizona, who preceded her in death in 2015; 2 granddaughters: Lola Bishop of California and India Mims of Las Vegas; 2 grandsons: Tywaun Mims and Jai Breon Stevensons of Las Vegas; her foster children: Jessica and Janay Crewshaw of Las Vegas; 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers.
