Obituary for Felicia Teresa Thomas
Felicia Teresa McGown was born to Jessie and Lizzie McGown on November 24, 1973, in Las Vegas, NV. She is the second oldest child of nine children.
Felicia attended Kit Carson Elementary and Valley High School in Las Vegas, NV. She moved to Montrose, Arkansas and graduated from Lakeside High School in Lake Village, Arkansas with her CNA certificate in 1992. Felicia started her career at Hamburg Nursing Home where she was loved by everyone. She went on to further her education at University of Arkansas at Monticello and in 2000, she graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in English.
In June of 1991, Felicia accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. This was also the year she met her soon to be spouse, Alton Thomas III. Alton proposed to her on her birthday in 1994. Then, seven months later, June of 1995, they wed. To this union in 1996, their oldest daughter, Alexandria was born. They and continued to grow their family and added five beautiful girls.
On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, Felicia departed this life. She was preceded in death by her sister Felicia Dupree, mother-in-law Francetta Thomas and father-in-law Alton Thomas Jr.
Felicia leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Alton Thomas III; her six daughters: Alexandria, Adicia, Angelica, Amanda Anna and Charneese Thomas; her father, Jessie McGown; mother, Lizzie McGown; six brothers: Pastor Michael (Divian) Phillips, Larry Dupree, Ray McGown, Billy (Tamara) McGown, Jesse McGown, and Daniel McGown; two sisters: Ann McGown, and Patricia (Dominique) Weston; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and friends.
Felicia Teresa McGown, you will be missed for the loved you had for your family and friends. Even though you have departed this life, you will never depart our hearts.
