Obituary for Maurice Avery Lopez
Maurice Avery Lopez Sr. was born November 23, 1965, in Los Angeles, California. He is the second born child of Christopher Benjamin Licon Lopez and Rose Mary Austn.
Maurice attended his neighborhood schools; Dublin Elementary, Abubon Jr. High and Dorsey High School. Maurice furthered his education by attending Los Angeles Trade Tech College. Mastering the art of "Cosmetology". Maurice loved doing for others using his skills as a "Jack of All Trades".
Maurice was a very talkative person, sometimes just a little too much. His talkative nature led him to be a "Socialite". Everyone Maurice met, he gave a nickname. He conquered and enjoyed listening to music by "The Red Hot Chili Peppers". He loved classical (black and white) movies and had the nerve to record them onto VHS (don't ask)......and the religious debates OMG!!!!!
You would often find Maurice in the kitchen as he loved to cook; especially sharing his mothers recipe for teacakes. Cooking anything except "The Swine" as he called it.
Maurice mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. The love for them all. He would attend their musicals and sporting events, thinking he was the referee! The adventure walks (trips to the corner store only). All in which will truly be missed by everyone he encountered.
On October 12, 2022, Mauriice transitioned from this life.
Maurice was preceded in death by is father; Christopher, brother; Benjamin, son; Stephen, granddaughter; Maya.
Maurice leaved to cherish his memory: mother; Rose Mary, sisters; Beatrice and Veronica, brothers; Gilbert, Christopher Jr, and Mario, children; Steven, Marketa, Malyada, Maurice Jr., Marcel, Marquis, Chinana and Amaya.
Maurrice will be greatly missed.
