Obituary for Tyreshia Moten

Tyreshia Latrice Moten was born December 16, 1989, to the proud parents of, Tonya South and Tyrone Moten in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tyreshia was very well rounded, enthusiastic, fun, loving, charming, and a strong child of God.

Whenever you came in contact with her, you were greeted with a smile. Tyreshia accepted the Lord at an early age, at the Goodwill Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Elder Connie Murray. She was baptized at Fallbrook Church in Houston, Texas.

Tyreshia was very persistent in all that she pursued. Even though she battled with Sickle Cell. She fought like a warrior, defeating many odds that arose in her life. Tyreshia was a woman of faith, never ceasing to pray. Even as a child, she made her family hold hands and pray with her. Tyreshia showed tremendous strength all of her life, and she fought this war for a long time, continuing to win. In the end, God spoke and said, "Enough My Child, I Will Give You Rest."

Tyreshia was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and attended school at Matt Kelly Elementary School, Brinley Middle School, and Western High School. Tyresgia relocated to Houston, Texas to be with her family, then later she relocated back to Las Vegas, Nevada. Tyreshia enjoyed children and trying to "Twerk". She was always the life of the party. Tyreshia loved her family dearly. She also made her love known for the Johnson family.

On Thursday, May 16, 2022, Tyreshia departed this life to be with the Lord. Preceding her in death, was her son, Devon Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories three children: Tyvonna Johnson, Adiya Johnson, and Tyvonne Johnson; her mother, Tonya South; father, Tyrone Moten; her children's father, Devon Johnson, Sr.; grandparents: Joyce Wilmore-Izard Williams; David Brown, Terri Moten, Samuel Moten, and Reggie Pratt and a host of great aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Tyreshia was a very strong woman who touched many hearts and lives. Tyreshia will be forever missed, loved, and cherished in all of our hearts.

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 14:1
