Luis Carranza Obituary (1968 - 2025) - North Las Vegas, Nevada

It is with profound sorrow and yet a celebration of a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Luis Carranza, affectionately known as El Cucuy, who left us on July 5, 2025. Born on June 10, 1968, in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, Luis brought joy, warmth, and laughter to everyone who knew him. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Luis certainly had that remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and loved. Luis was a pillar of strength and a beacon of light in his family and community. He resided in North Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked as a Chief Supervisor at Brady Linens until his retirement. He was a man who believed in the dignity of labor and the satisfaction of a job well done. His hard work, dedication, and leadership were an inspiration to all who knew him. His spirit was reflected in his favorite quote from Benjamin Franklin, "Well done is better than well said." Luis was a man of action and lived this truth every day. Luis is preceded in death and survived by a loving family who were his world. His beloved wife Teresa Quintero, whom he married on May 12, 1990, and their cherished children; Alexis, Emmy, and Kenny Carranza. He also leaves behind his supportive brother, Jose Carranza. Each of these individuals was a part of Luis' beautiful tapestry of life and his legacy will continue to live on through them. The services to honor and celebrate Luis' life are under the direction of Heritage Mortuary. We invite all who knew and loved Luis to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page.
